Built on a strong foundation of previously executed transactions, this agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to long-term strategic alignment and operational synergies across their energy business, including natural gas and LNG.

The agreement represents a logical next step in the growing partnership between SEFE and UNIPEC and highlights the trust established through a series of successful LNG transactions. By harnessing complementary strengths across the Atlantic and Pacific basins, both parties aim to optimise their current and future LNG portfolios while paving the way for new growth opportunities. The collaboration will extend to joint initiatives in carbon markets and other areas of mutual strategic interest, further reinforcing both parties’ shared commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Frédéric Barnaud, CCO of SEFE, said: “This agreement marks a significant milestone in SEFE’s relationship with UNIPEC, transforming a track record of multiple LNG transactions into a wider and forward-looking partnership in LNG, natural gas, financial risk management, portfolio optimisation and carbon markets. By compounding our complementary strengths, we’re enhancing security of supply for our respective customers and unlocking significant synergies.”

Wang Yuning, Deputy General Manager of UNIPEC, said: “We are pleased to see much closer collaboration between both parties in the past year. UNIPEC and SEFE have significant potential for further cooperation across various areas and regions. The signing of this cooperation agreement is well positioned to take our future collaboration to a new height.”
